DAUGAVA CUP COMPETITION RULES

I. OBJECTIVES

Popularize water tourism and rowing sports in Jēkabpils county and the Latgale region.
Promote the protection, maintenance, and improvement of the Daugava River waters and environment, as well as the development of tourism infrastructure.
Develop water tourism routes on the Daugava River.

II. TASK

Determine the fastest male and female rowers in the 70km distance, in various watercraft classes.

IV. TIME, PLACE, DISTANCE AND AWARDS

Time and place: July 25, 2026, Daugava river, marathon distance Līvāni - Koknese, sprint distance Pļaviņas - Koknese.

Distances: 

• 70 km distance / marathon. Līvāni - Koknese
• 25 km distance / sprint. Pļaviņas - Koknese

Marathon distance start at 08:00 from Līvāni
Sprint distance start at 11:00 from Pļaviņas

The starting time may be changed depending on the number of participants and other circumstances.

 MARATHON MAP:

Distance time is recorded at the start and finish.
The time limit for completing the distance is 16 hours. Participants who do not finish within the time limit will be disqualified.

Awards: All participants who finish within the time limit receive commemorative prizes. Special awards are given to the top three finishers.

V. PARTICIPANTS AND BOAT CLASSES

Any individual who has reached 18 years of age may participate. Persons younger than 18 may participate only with written permission from a legal representative or in their company.

K1 WOM – single kayak, women
K1 MEN – single kayak, men
K2 WOM – double kayak, women
K2 MEN – double kayak, men
K2 MIX – double kayak, mixed team
SUP WOM – SUP women
SUP MEN – SUP men
C2 WOM – double canoe, women
C2 MEN – double canoe, men
C2 MIX – canoe, mixed team

VI. REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION

Participation fee (each participant):

Participation fee is 50 EUR
From July 1st 60 EUR

VII. SAFETY

1. Participants must wear life jackets throughout the entire distance.
2. A charged mobile phone in waterproof packaging must be carried.
3. By registering for the competition, participants confirm that they are aware of their physical and mental readiness to complete the race distance. During the distance, participants are responsible for their own safety on the water and are prepared to assist other participants as long as it does not endanger their own safety or health.
4. If a participant withdraws from the competition, the race organizers must be immediately informed by calling or sending a text message to Guna Gavare GSM +371 26325850

VIII. DATA PROCESSING

1. By registering for the competition, participants confirm that they do not object to the use of their personal data in competition protocols, and the use of photographs and video materials taken by organizers during the competition in public competition materials.
2. Information provided in the registration form is not transferred to third parties or used for sending information unrelated to this event.
3. Organizers are not responsible for photo or video materials taken and published by competition participants or spectators.
